Greg and I were finishing up undergrad and some incredible internships. I had a baller resume! Greg was offered a position that required us to move to the middle of nowhere, Indiana. We squished all of our belongings into one uHaul. I cried all the way there.

As I worked my ass off trying to find a job I actually enjoyed, I decided to pursue my Masters. It gave me hope for a brighter future. I dreamed of becoming a VP of Communications or the Chief of Marketing at a shiny tech company one day.
The Epiphany

Halfway through my Masters, I won a trip to Florida to visit my campus and sit in on a bunch of panels led by entrepreneurs in different fields. One of the talks changed my life forever. I decided right then that I wanted to try building my own biz!
I took some terrible jobs because I didn’t have the money or security to wield power. They all turned into dead ends. Unsafe working conditions, limited growth opportunities, and crazy abusive bosses motivated me to get the heck out of there ASAP.
As soon as I got home from the conference I started binging biz podcasts and created a website so I could pitch my services. I found my very first marketing client in a Facebook group. I had no experience but I gave it my all… and the ball kept rolling as I grew!
