AI fascinates me. After studying it throughout 2023 and implementing it in 2024, I’ve learned both sides of the story through countless conversations. One thing’s clear: AI is both exciting and terrifying, liberating and concerning. As someone deeply committed to their values and impact, here’s exactly how I approach AI in my work.

My Non-Negotiables

I absolutely will not:

  • Publish Unedited AI Content: Every piece of AI-generated text goes through human editing to maintain authenticity and accuracy. This isn’t just about fixing grammar—it’s about infusing my expertise and voice into the content.
  • Use Deceptive AI Visuals: No AI-generated images or videos that could mislead. I might use obviously artificial elements (like mannequins or stylized graphics), but never content that could be mistaken for real people or scenarios.
  • Outsource Editorial Judgment: While AI can suggest improvements, final editing decisions always come from human expertise and understanding of context.

Strategic Implementation

I thoughtfully use AI for:

Idea Generation & Research

  • Brainstorming fresh angles and headlines (after thoroughly researching existing content to make sure it won’t infringe)
  • Exploring initial research directions while maintaining human verification
  • Analyzing trends and patterns in marketing data
  • Identifying gaps and opportunities in content strategies

Documentation & Process Improvement

  • Creating clear, detailed SOPs that can be easily understood and followed
  • Organizing and structuring process documentation
  • Converting messy transcripts into clean, usable content
  • Standardizing internal workflows and procedures

Quality Assurance

  • Grammar and clarity checks as a first pass
  • Identifying potential inconsistencies in messaging
  • Flagging areas that might need additional context or explanation
